The Restricted Information Statement (RIR) is replaced by the Defensive Driving Certificate (ADCS). This file, available on the Internet, contains information about the existence and validity of driving license categories. This certificate allows any user to verify the validity and scope of a driver’s license on the day it is issued. ADCS determines the categories of vehicles you can drive and indicates whether your driver’s license is suspended.

As directed by the administration, you may be required to use this document to:

• Confirm your driving license with national and foreign authorities, insurance companies, etc.

• Confirm your driving privileges in the event of a lost or stolen driver’s license and while waiting for renewal of a new license;

• Confirm your driving credentials when exchanging your driver’s license abroad or in overseas communities (COM);

This certificate is a driving document in the event of an inspection, provided that it is accompanied by a valid identification document. It can be revoked at any time in accordance with the measure of restriction (administrative or judicial) of a driver’s license.
